Meet Atlas! He was surrendered by his owners when they were moving and unable to take their dogs. He is about 6 years old. Atlas lived outdoors a lot before coming to us so he's learning about living indoors and loving it! He is well behaved in the house and not destructive. He likes other dogs but gets really excited when first meeting them and then settles down. He would do fine being the only dog as well, as he loves his people and will be your best friend.
Atlas is heartworm negative and was treated for ear and eye infections when he arrived. He is showing signs of early arthritis so we have him on joint supplements and generic anti-inflammatory meds which seem to help. He still has bursts of playfulness which is good! He came in weighing 165 pounds and was underweight at that size. He's eating good food now and we expect it won't take long to fill out a little.
Atlas is being fostered outside Dallas, TX.
