Meet Amos. Amos is a one year old apricot male. He came into rescue after a concerned citizen witnessed him being dumped out of a car. He is very sweet but shy and slow to warm up. Once he warms up he won't leave your side. He is hand-shy, so we're assuming someone in his previous life treated him badly. As a result, he is frightened of new people and cautious until he gets to know you, which takes a couple of hours. He has done well with the female dog in his foster home. He has not been around young children. Due to his shyness, we will not place Amos in a home with children under 13 years old. The fast movements of young kids would most likely make him scared. He will be a great Mastiff for a family with lots of love and patience to give this big boy. He is underweight at 135lbs- we estimate he will be at least 160 when he gains the weight he needs to.
